“My bike started out as BMW’s “The Punisher.” I wanted to transform it to a “retro, rat-bike” style ride. The frame was repainted Rustoleum textured black, then lightly dusted with Rustoleum antique copper spray.  Engine repainted with Rustoleum high heat flat black. Replaced tires with whitewalls, changed out handlebars to a cruiser style, then inverted them, adding comfort grip throttle (available from BMW). Upgraded the saddle to a comfort saddle. Fuel tank was relocated to the rear, resting in a wooden box, this, in turn, resting on a back carrier. Various other doo-dads; wireless speedo, retro style headlamp and a squeeze style horn. Powerplant remains stock. Approximate reconstruction time, 60 hours.”
