Just what the doctor order…

I’m an old school import car guy from Hawaii that also competed in car stereo competitions and loves basketball, volley ball, and r/c cars.

After having kids and letting age have its way, I was forced by my doctor to think of a new hobby.

Biking not only provided a new means of sun exercise but also helped satisfy my mechanical itch. Ebike would then lead to a creative outlet that incorporated my prior car and r/c car knowledge.”

About the Bike:

A silver bicycle parked on the side of a building.

Keith built his E-Bike using a MOOTS bike with a CYC X1 Stealth Conversion.

Winning Feature: Torque Sensing PAS with a Powerful Throttle.

Keith’s Tip:

If you have the space to fit a 9â€-12†long battery pack like the ones sold by Bicycle Motor Works, here’s a way to securely mount it and then protect it while on the ride. You can use a cargo cage mount like the Blackburn Outpost Cargo Cage, Salsa Anything Cargo Cage, Widefoot Cargo Mount, or Tailfin Cargo Cage to mount to your water bottle mount and then use either long Velcro or Viole straps like the bike rack transport straps or EDC gear straps to secure the battery to the cage mount. A red and blue logo for bicycle motor works.    I chose the Tailfin because of its lighter weight and lower profile while finding Velcro straps with a stainless steel loop for added strength over time. The protection then comes from a water resistant and padded shark pack cover with drawstrings such as the one from Teng Yue to protect your battery from getting banged up or the rain.
